Founders

Gregory Copeland began his career in plumbing over 40 years ago. After graduating from Snider High School in 1975, he enrolled in college and soon realized it was not what he wanted. He began working on the plumbing counter of a large supply company and was introduced to the owner of Mr. Plumber, Inc. He joined Mr. Plumber in 1977, enrolled in the plumbing apprenticeship program. Greg received his Plumber Apprentice license in 1982. he received his Journeyman license 1986. Plumber Contractor license in 1987.

Gregory and his wife, Cynthia opened their business in January 1990. General Plumbing / General Hardware, found on the corner of Hanna and Oxford St. In 1983, he closed the hardware store. Focused on plumbing only. Previous name was General Plumbing Co., GPC Plumbing, Inc. He employed up to 10 plumbers. Currently, Copeland Contracting Co., LLC. Greg’s list of commercial contracts: Lafayette Medical Center, Lutheran Hospital Endoscopy Center, Residence Inn, Fort Wayne Orthopedics, downtown, Fort Wayne Urban League, many new homes. Greg serves on the Board of the Allen County Building Department for 18 years.

Raul Quintana - Better known as Mr. Q
Mr. Q has worked in plumbing for 43 years. 30 of those years have been with Copeland Contracting. He has had a wonderful experience working with Mr. Copeland throughout all these years. Mr. Q is still active in the plumbing industry and takes the advice of his father to keep working.

Our Team

Danielle Copeland

Danielle Copeland is the Project Manager for Copeland Contracting for a few years. Danielle has been managing residential and commercial projects w/ the help of local subcontractors. She enjoys overseeing the renovations.

Danielle has a background in Medical Administration. She previously worked for Parkview and Lutheran Hospitals before solely joining the family business.

Danielle is actively involved in her community. She is the building Commissioner for the Oxford Association. She is responsible for bringing the building to code. Danielle intends to cultivate several programs through the Oxford Association, all geared toward youth, homeowners, and entrepreneurs. Danielle intends to help build up our community in any way possible.

Shawn Hagler

Shawn Hagler is a challenge-driven professional, who brings more than 15 years of proven experience as a business owner. Shawn is currently the sole proprietor, owning and operating Homes by Hagler. Shawn has worked in maintenance and learned of the shortage of plumbers in the area.

He decided to add to his professional arsenal and joined the Local 227 as an apprentice and joined the class room portion of this trainings as soon as possible. He is a licensed plumbing apprentice from 2021 to present. Shawn has been a licensed carpenter since 1998. He has been working as a plumber since 2021.

He finished the class work portion toward becoming a plumber in 2024. He is continuing his schooling past being a journeyman to be a Master Plumber. He likes meeting new people, networking, and providing a professional service to the greater Ft Wayne area.

David Sain

David Sain, better known as Mr. A.I. by the Copeland team, is a dedicated professional who is passionate about the skilled trades industry. His fascination with plumbing systems paved the way for him to work as a licensed plumbing apprentice. With the current goal of becoming a licensed master plumber in the state of Indiana.

He looks to encourage other young men and women to seek a fulfilling career in the skill trade industries. As there is a huge skills gap in our country. David stands as an advocate to see the trades strive in our community. As the opportunities are endless and skilled trades will always be in demand.

David enjoys the challenges and pleasures of working with one's hands and has been the owner of Drain Doctor since 2021. A company that specializes in sewer and drain cleaning. He brings newer technology to the drain cleaning process to ensure every client gets the adequate solution that they need.
